Maths and Money! Engaging our children in real world mathematics.

A huge well done to Haxby Road Primary Academy! On Friday 26 January we held a mathematical non-uniform day to raise money for our Young Carers in school. We raised an amazing £125!

Throughout the day, the children engaged in a range of fun and practical ‘money’ activities and problems. The aim was to promote the teaching of financial literacy through maths and improve our children’s understanding of mathematical concepts.
